Business Charter Flights
Are there any private aircraft/jets you can charter which have facility to use own cell phones in flight?
when hiring a private aircraft for a large group of business people, are there any planes which have the facilty to have reception on your own cell phones in flight, or is it only the onboard phone which will work?
It’s the onboard phones that will work; cell phones won’t work because you can’t get a reliable signal from a tower while you’re going at 400mph, 30,000 feet in the air. A few commercial liners are now being equipped with satellite capabilities but that’s too expensive for most private crafts; the cell providers subsidise the expense for the commercial jets because they will be the only provider whose network works, and they’ll make a fortune from the roaming charges.
